The Government of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, through the Ministry of Religious Affairs, is always committed to ensuring that formal religious education is implemented in a quality and effective manner. In an effort to produce a knowledgeable, successful, faithful and morally upright generation, the Ministry of Religious Affairs is responsible for the implementation of religious education in the country. Yang Berhormat Pehin Udana Khatib Dato Paduka Seri Setia Ustaz Haji Awang Badaruddin bin Pengarah Dato Paduka Haji Awang Othman, Minister of Religious Affairs, emphasised this during an interview with RTB recently.

The Minister of Religious Affairs also highlighted that the integration is continuously being monitored to ensure that it is implemented in an orderly and effective manner. He reminded that religious education is important.

Touching on integration, Yang Berhormat explained that overall parental attitudes are generally positive. Parents are also taking the initiative by sending their children to the mosque, especially on Fridays, to attend Al-Qur'an classes. This shows a good new development in the community's support for religious education.
